VST Plus
VST Plus is a brand-new program designed for young adults ages 18–22, bringing together many of our Valley Student Theatre alumni for a unique production experience.
Building on the skills, creativity, and community formed in our regular VST camp, this program offers the chance to take theatre training to the next level. Participants will collaborate on a full production—strengthening performance technique, growing leadership skills, and reconnecting with fellow alumni in a supportive, professional-style environment.
VST Plus celebrates the journey from student to emerging artist, giving our alumni and other aspiring artists a space to shine and continue their theatrical growth.

VST is a special place. As a mom of two theatre kids who have done theatre in Connecticut and Massachusetts, I wish all community theatres were like VST. Honestly, it's Erin and Julianne - they bring magic and sprinkle pixie dust wherever they go. VST is for youth, and they understand them. They listen. They are nurturing, understanding and loving. They see the best in your child and they know how to bring the best out of them. James is great with helping the kids one on one where they need it, and Taylor makes your child dance like they took dancing from age 2. How does this happen? It happens with a creative team that cares about your child - and because of that, VST shows set the bar in the area for youth performers. VST believes in your child and when you sit in the audience, you are blown away.
From the very first day, my child was fully engaged, inspired, and excited to go back each morning. She came home every day bubbling with stories, new friendships, and a growing love for the stage. The camp provided a perfect mix of fun, creativity, and skill-building. The instructors were enthusiastic, supportive, and clearly passionate about what they do. They created a positive, inclusive environment where every camper felt valued. By the end of the camp, my daughter wished it would never end—and honestly, I did too! It’s rare to find a program that strikes such a beautiful balance between education and pure joy.
There are not enough positive words and praises to give to Valley Student Theater. This is not just a theater program where our child has grown and gets to be on stage, but a place where she gets to feel like she is home and amongst both old and new friends each time they are re-united. This creative team is like no other - and it shows in the final product. They are creating future stars and building confidence and teaching kindness in our youth!
As I picked my young actor up on his first day of rehearsals with Valley Student Theatre I asked him to rate his experience that day and his creative team. His response was “oh Mom, they are totally V.I.P. It’s next level in there.” After watching the show I can attest that my son is totally right. Sitting in the audience of a VST production is time well spent. In an era when the cost of a ticket to see a Broadway show has made enjoying the arts out of reach for so many, I feel like the lovely quality of the shows produced through VST have made it so that communities like ours don’t have to miss out on the Arts.
