Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. How will this naïve newbie rise to the top of the popularity pecking order? By taking on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. But when Cady and her friends devise a "Revenge Party" to end Regina’s reign, she learns the hard way that you can’t cross a queen bee without getting stung.

Adapted from Fey's hit 2004 film, Mean Girls was nominated for a staggering 12 Tony Awards. This show took Broadway by storm and has since joined the musical in-crowd.

Audition Details

Please prepare a 16 to 32-bar cut of a song in the style of Mean Girls (about 30 seconds to a minute if you are not familiar with sheet music). We highly recommend picking a song in the same style as Mean Girls- choose a contemporary pop or pop-rock musical theatre song (post-2005 is great) that showcases your voice and matches the high-energy, character-driven style of the show. You may select a song from the show if you choose. Those auditioning should bring their own device to play an accompaniment track, or they can choose to sing a cappella. Children turning 12 to graduating seniors in high school are encouraged to audition. (Our age range has gone up slightly for this show due to the show's content)

In person vocal auditions will be held at Granby Memorial High School on March 23rd and March 25th from 5:45-8:00. You will need to sign up for a 5 minute audition slot using the link below. (At this time all in person vocal audition slots have been filled)

Mandatory dance auditions will be on April 2nd from 5:00-6:00pm. All auditionees will need to attend the dance audition in addition to the vocal audition. Callbacks are by invitation only and will be held on April 2nd from 6:00-8:00pm.

Virtual Auditions for Mean Girls will be held through a Google Form submission. Please fill out the form below along with a one minute video audition. Please sing a song in the style of the show with a length of one minute. Virtual Auditions are due by MARCH 23RD AT 6PM! If you are submitting a virtual audition you will still need to attend in person dance auditions!

Music rehearsals will start in May and June, ahead of the regular camp schedule. We will announce these dates after casting later this spring. The May and June rehearsals will take place in the evening in Granby locations.

VST Junior Broadway Bound invites young performers to step onto the stage, build skills, and grow confidence together . In this program, students explore acting, singing, and movement in a supportive, low-pressure setting.

Camp is July 27- July 31st from 8:30-12:30 for students ages 7-12. Please fill out the form linked below for enrollment. The camp costs $200 per student. You will receive a confirmation email securing your spot once the form has been submitted and payment has been received.

There will be a performance for families on the final day, July 31st at 12:00 at Granby Memorial High School auditorium! Tickets are $5 a person or free for 3 and under.

Valley Student Theatre is proud to present The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, a hilarious and heart-filled musical featuring a talented cast of performers ages high school seniors through 23.

Directed by Erin Bakken and Julianne Thouin and choreographed by Sarah Rose Stack, this production brings to life a group of quirky middle school students competing in a spelling bee, each with their own unique story, insecurities, and dreams. With humor, improv, and touching moments, the show celebrates the awkwardness of growing up and the courage it takes to be yourself.
