Erin Dugan is the Executive Artistic Director of Valley Student Theatre! Erin has been directing shows for East Granby Student Theatre for the past six years and is actually an alumni of East Granby’s summer theatre program. She is a second grade teacher in East Granby. Erin has been a member of the Opera House Players for two years and is currently the secretary on the OHP Board. In her spare time she loves to perform in multiple community theatre productions. Her favorite roles include Miss Honey in Matilda, Gertrude in Unity House’s Seussical, Madame de la Grande Bouche in OHP's Beauty and the Beast, Edna in Bright Star, the housewife in Working, ensemble in Sister Act, Ethel Toffelmeir in Music Man, Miss Mona in The Best Little 'House' in Texas, and Rose in Dogfight.
Jenna is a junior at Sacred Heart University where she is a double major studying both Theatre Arts and Communications with a Management minor. Jenna has worked for East Granby Student Theatre as a director for two years in which she directed “Shrek” and “Seussical.” Jenna also directs theatre camps for kids through the town of East Granby. Throughout Jenna's college experience, she has been the Department Head of Costumes for "Be More Chill," "Barnum," and "Ordinary Days." She has also directed multiple student written shows, stage managed for Connecticut Children's Theatre (CCT) in their production of "The Curious Quest of Benjamin Bunny,” and most recently was the Production Stage Manager for “The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later.” Jenna has been seen on stage at Sacred Heart University in “In the Heights,” “HAIR” and in CCT’s production of “The Magic Snowflake.” Jenna works for Broadway Producer Jerry Goehring and is a House Manager for the Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts.
Alex is a Junior Theatre Major at Providence College, and has a concentration in Musical Theatre. Alex has been involved in almost every mainstage production during his collegiate experience, acting in Bat Boy (Ron), Something Rotten! (Minstrel), and Violet (Father) ; stage managing The Maids, Nat Turner In Jerusalem, and Writer’s Summit (a collection of student-written works including ACT-ivism, of which Alex is also the playwright, along with Teal, Cast List, Under One Sun, and Tenure). Alex has worked in both the scene shop and academic office at PC, and represented the department of Theatre, Dance & Film on multiple occasions for prospective students. In the past year, Alex has directed for both the stage and the screen, and spent time as a teacher’s assistant at Lincoln High School in Providence. After having acted within this community in previous productions of Shrek (Shrek), Beauty and the Beast (Beast), Into the Woods (Baker) and more, Alex cannot wait to return and help direct The Addams Family this Summer alongside Erin and Jenna!
